Boost your comfort not your power bill

Whether we like it or not, Winter is near.

You and your family deserve comfort and temperature control, quality air and warm toes in the morning.

That’s why the team at Clements Air Conditioning have put together a few tips for boosting your comfort – and not your power bill – when using your air conditioner this Winter.

Time it right
Winter is a great time to check if your air conditioner has a timer function, that way you can set it to come on before you get out of bed in the morning – that and a soft pair of slippers will make your early starts much more comfortable.

And, with air conditioners fit with smart phone control technology you can also turn your unit on before you get home in the evening too.

Set the temp
We know it is tempting to crank your air con up to maximum temperature and maximum fan speed to get you feeling toasty in Winter but higher isn’t always hotter

It’ll be much more effective if you start with a temperature that is closer to the one outside, giving the unit a chance to reach a comfortable inside temp in the most efficient way.

Know your zones
There’s a chance that some rooms in your house don’t get a whole lot of use in Winter and if that’s the case, you don’t need to heat them.

If you have a ducted reserve cycle air conditioning system, you can save money and energy by focusing your heating in high traffic areas such as the kitchen or living areas.

If now’s the time to upgrade or repair your air con, or book in a Winter air conditioning service, chat to Clements Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical.
